FocalPoint will be at ION GNSS+ 2026, taking place September 14–18 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida. We will present two technical papers sharing advances in high-precision positioning and GNSS resilience, exhibit at Booth 412, and showcase the latest trial results of S-GNSS® Auto running on the STMicroelectronics Teseo platform.

The first paper introduces Precise+®, our solution for delivering high-precision carrier-phase positioning in challenging environments, while the second presents new real-world results demonstrating resilience against sophisticated meaconing and spoofing attacks using a single-antenna receiver.

Attendees: Javier Garcia, Ross van der Merwe, Jez Ellis-Gray and Manuel del Castillo

Location: Booth 412

Sessions

SESSION C1

SESSION A4

Ross van der Merwe will present the paper Single-Antenna Spatial Authentication of GNSS Signals Using Supercorrelation: Real-World Meaconing Demonstration, showcasing real-world meaconing results from Jammertest in Norway: the world’s largest open-air GNSS interference testing event. Using data captured during a live high-power meaconing attack, FocalPoint demonstrates that a single-antenna receiver can simultaneously recover authentic satellite signals, suppress the false meaconing signals, and estimate the direction of the malicious meaconing transmitter. This provides a non-cryptographic layer of authentication that remains effective against meaconing and spoofing attacks that evade conventional integrity checks. The paper will be presented on Wednesday, September 16, in Session C1 (Navigation Resilience to Interference and Cyber-Attacks 1).

Javier Garcia will present Precise+®: Supercorrelation® for Precise GNSS Positioning in Deep-Urban Environments, introducing Precise+, FocalPoint’s technology for achieving high-precision carrier-phase positioning in challenging environments: deep urban canyons and thick foliage. The paper presents benchmarking against state-of-the-art receivers using both synthetic data and real-world collections in the City of London and Thetford Forest, demonstrating accuracy improvements across all statistical percentiles under severe multipath and non-line-of-sight conditions. As a hardware-agnostic software upgrade at the chipset level, Precise+ offers a scalable route to high precision across applications from Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous platforms to smartphones and wearables. The paper will be presented on Thursday, September 17, in Session A4 (High Accuracy Positioning and Correction for Mass Market Devices).

Meet us at Booth 412

At Booth 412, FocalPoint will showcase the latest results well as an evaluation kit of S-GNSS® Auto running on the STMicroelectronics Teseo automotive GNSS platform. Product Lead Jez Ellis-Gray will be on hand throughout the conference to discuss the technology and results with attendees.
