How does S-GNSS® Wear work?

S-GNSS® Wear is a software upgrade for existing GNSS receivers that operates in the measurement domain. It combines our patented Supercorrelation™ technology and our human motion modelling technology to mitigate the degradation in accuracy caused by signal reflections and attenuation. It works by:

Boosting line-of-sight signals

S-GNSS enables the receiver to lock onto the line-of-sight signal, while ignoring all others. By improving receiver sensitivity, S-GNSS optimises the performance of concealed antennas and maintains accurate tracking under foliage.

Attenuating non-line-of-sight signals

By identifying and eliminating inaccurate signals, S-GNSS mitigates the effects of multipath interference, and helps to protect against spoofing attacks.

Supercorrelation™ uses a combination of machine learning, signal processing and sensor fusion techniques to tackle the challenge of accurate pedestrian navigation. By integrating and analysing data from various sensors, it ensures accurate tracking and guidance for individuals, whether they are walking through crowded urban environments or exploring unfamiliar outdoor areas. This results in enhanced user experiences for applications such as location-based services, and personal safety, ensuring that users navigate with confidence.
