Precise+ extends the benefits of Supercorrelation® technology to high-precision GNSS
FocalPoint will participate in this year’s European Navigation Conference, from 28-30 April 2026 in Vienna, Austria. At the conference, the company will present Precise+®, its high-precision GNSS technology, demonstrating the benefits of Supercorrelation® to carrier-phase based positioning. The team will also be available at Booth 7, where we will showcase our software S-GNSS® Auto, which boosts GNSS reliability and accuracy in urban canyons and other environments affected by signal reflection and obstructions.
On the first day of the conference, FocalPoint principal engineer, Javier Garcia, will present a poster titled “Precise+: Bringing the benefits of Supercorrelation® to precise GNSS positioning.” The research examines how the company’s new patented technology, Precise+, improves carrier-phase measurements in challenging environments, achieving centimetre-level positioning accuracy. Commercially, this capability opens new avenues for Focal Point Positioning, particularly in autonomous vehicle navigation and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Supercorrelation® has already set a new standard for GNSS reliability in challenging environments, delivering dramatic improvements to code-phase and Doppler measurements in real-world testing worldwide. Precise+ represents the next leap forward — new patented technology delivers those same benefits to carrier-phase positioning, and with it, bringing centimetre-level accuracy to environments where high-precision GNSS has historically struggled.
“The European Navigation Conference is an important date in the calendar, and it’s an exciting opportunity to share our vision for Precise+ and the high-precision products it will make possible.” explained Jez Ellis-Gray, Lead Product Manager at Focal Point Positioning. “As GNSS applications increasingly rely on consistent performance in difficult signal environments, improving measurement reliability remains an important area of research.
“Our earlier studies and field trials have demonstrated how Supercorrelation can improve the reliability of standard GNSS measurements affected by signal reflection and obstruction,” added Ellis-Gray. “Through this research, we are demonstrating how new techniques can be applied to carrier-phase measurement that underpin high-precision positioning methods.”
Alongside the poster presentation, visitors to Booth 7 can also take a closer look at the S-GNSS Auto® Evaluation Kits and see data from recent trials conducted in global locations including Tokyo and Frankfurt.
